National Eligibility and Entrance Test (commonly known as NEET) is the entrance exam for undergraduate courses like M. B. B. S (Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery) and B. D. S (Bachelor in Dental Surgery) in medical science as well as post graduate courses like M. D & M. S. This test replaced the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) as well as all other state conducted medical entrance exams in 2013. This test will not admit students for other medical courses such as B. H. M. S (Bachelor of Homeopathy and Medical Science), B. P. T (Bachelor in Physiotherapy), B. VSc (Bachelor in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry Course) etc. And the entrance exams for these courses are conducted by the respective state boards.
Also, NEET exam does not admit students for medical courses in the states such as Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Jammu & Kashmir.
15% seats are reserved for the All India Quota in all medical colleges. The remaining seats are available for admission through the State Quota.

Exam Mode– The exam will be conducted only in Pen and Paper mode
Exam Pattern– Multiple choice questions (Single option correct) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology)
